 Bailey’s Palomar Resort is located in a private area of Palomar Mountain that few people get a chance to explore. situated at 5,500¢, this historic location was settled over 100 years ago and quickly became a destination for travel enthusiasts by horseback, stage and later by car. This is an area of lush meadows, tall evergreens and ancient oaks. The mountain itself is home to the famous 200” Hale telescope and a beautiful state park.  The weather this time of year is perfect...the apple trees and dogwood are blooming and the bracken ferns are unfurling their brilliant greens.  A daytime tour of the observatory and a night-time photography session under sparkling stars is planned.  Our all-inclusive price includes the workshop fee, two nights in the Bailey House; two home-cooked dinners, lunches and two full delicious breakfasts.
